The design of building structures has grown more sophisticated as computer power and the understanding of building load requirements have improved. Buildings currently in service may use one or more of a multitude of structural systems to accommodate their occupants, each of which has its own traits and susceptibilities affecting its long-term performance. New load-carrying requirements on existing structures, such as earthquake resistance, snow accumulation resistance and life safety anchorage systems, may result in the need for remedial analysis and design.
FSA combines expertise in understanding of existing structures with a detailed knowledge of newer building code requirements, to develop complete solutions for structural problems. This is complemented by our field investigative and testing expertise to help ensure that the structural aspect of any building problem is addressed appropriately.
