Chimney Restoration

FSA was engaged to conduct a roof condition assessment and reroofing project. During the assessment, the chimney brick was observed to have severely deteriorated with spalling, cracking, and crumbling mortar joints. Part of the brick debris had landed on the roofs below. FSA recommended that a structural review of the chimney be performed immediately and that provisions be put in place to temporarily brace the masonry to limit fall debris. FSA recommended that these repairs be considered a priority and included in the scope. The team added the design and incorporated it into the project’s plan.
